Discover and Experience
Skanès, a leafy suburb of Monastir on the East coast of Tunisia, has not one but two sandy beaches - one of which is 9 km long and on average 15 meters wide. The deep blue sea contrast with the light sand on the seemingly endless coastal stretch to the West of the town centre. The shallow, gently sloping water guarantees particularly parents with small children a perfect day on the beach.
The cities Monastir and Sousse are worth a visit. Sousse is the most lively city in Tunisia. There are plentyful opportunities for shopping and watching the bustling life. The medina (old town) of Sousse dates back to the 9th century and is surrounded by a 2.25 km long wall. Since 1988 the medina is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The city walls separate the medina from the rest of the city and seem like a sand castle.
Also worth visiting is Port El Kantoui, a yacht harbour with many beautiful boats, but also restaurants and shopping facilities. Visitors to Tunisia should not miss the opportunity to take part in a camel safari! Your holiday concierge will be happy to assist you in arranging excursions.
